Isiah Singh
My name is Isiah Singh, I am an Information Systems major at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. My religion is Sikhism. Both of my parents were born in India and came to the United States at a young age. As I have grown up I have seen a growth in Asian American communities. I believe this is because of the history of Asians in America. Through this class I learned how Asians were always judged and had stereotypes placed on them. This lead them to create their own groups and communities where they felt welcomed. Through school I have seen many Asian American communities hold events/dances/sporting events/etc. so that they are able to do what they like to do without being judged. I can relate to this because I have seen it happen many times growing up as a kid.
